Castles & Palaces

ELTZ CASTLE

It is humbly referred to as the “most beautiful castle in Europe.”

With pride, it looks back on a 900-year history.
Nestled between the Rhine, Moselle, and the Eifel, this graceful masterpiece stands tall.

It is not without reason that it is also called a “fairy tale carved in stone.”

History comes to life! Whether young or old, every knight’s heart beats faster here.

Follow the many hiking trails through the well-preserved nature reserve and discover a rare beauty.
The Hotel Simonis recommends a guided tour through the castle, courtyard, and treasury:

STOLZENFELS CASTLE

(Closed in December & January)

In the south of Koblenz, in the district of Stolzenfels, the castle of the same name towers high above the Rhine. Open to the public since 1842, it has since been regarded as the epitome of Rhine Romanticism.

Today, this beautiful, fairy-tale-like castle complex, where visitors can experience the impressive residential culture of the 19th century, is accessible on foot via a winding path from the Stolzenfels district.
