In the Eifel Museum, located beneath Genovevaburg, you can immerse yourself in the history of the castle, the Eifel region, and the town of Mayen in about an hour and a half, reliving past times. Beneath the castle, the German Slate Mine also awaits visitors who, equipped with a jacket and helmet—just like real miners—can explore the “World of Slate.”
Many exciting attractions and guided tours are waiting for you!
