One of the gifts that the Roman founders of Koblenz gave the city is certainly the art of viticulture. Even today, there are almost 20 winegrowers in the city alone who press high-quality wines from around half a million vines.

Our winery is located in Winningen on the Terrassenmosel, just outside the city of Koblenz. Viticulture has a centuries-old tradition in our family. The oldest records date back to 1604. In 1918, Richard Weyh, my grandfather, founded our winery when he bottled the wine for the first time and began marketing it himself.
Then as now, the Winningen vineyards form the basis for the high quality of our wines. We have nothing more valuable than the soil on which our vines grow. Our wines owe their exceptional quality to the unique climatic conditions on the Terrassenmosel, the good slate soils and the right choice of grape varieties.
Long-ripened, carefully tended and hand-picked, the grapes arrive in our cellar in the fall. Here they are carefully and gently processed. Quality grows in the vineyard – it is shaped and refined in the cellar. During vinification, we attach great importance to preserving the typical varietal aromas, the original influences of the soil and climate and the specific characteristics of an individual vintage. All these factors are reflected in a good glass of wine. We promise you pure enjoyment.
